A true icon of manga and Japanese animation, ONE PIECE is making its debut at the Grévin Museum, much to the delight of the fans.
The ten life-size statues of the « Straw Hat Crew » from ONE PIECE will be displayed at the Grévin Museum, joining over 250 iconic personalities, celebrities, and pop culture characters already featured there. They will also become the first characters from a Japanese animated series ever to be exhibited at the museum.
A TAILOR-MADE FRENCH-JAPANESE CREATION
Visitors will have the opportunity to take photos alongside their favorite heroes in a unique and immersive 80 m² space dedicated to ONE PIECE, where the main character Monkey D. Luffy can be seen celebrating with his crew.
Many months were required to recreate in three dimensions the ten members of the « Straw Hat Crew », some of whom far exceed normal human proportions, while remaining faithful to their appearance in the series.
The statues were manufactured in Japan under the supervision of Toei Animation and Grévin, who designed the entire scenography and set decoration, inspired by a Parisian cabaret and named the « Cabaret du Soleil ». Visitors will also be able to discover a subtle hidden feature that transforms the lighting atmosphere of the space. The statues are also dressed in real fabric clothing, embodying the refinement of French elegance. A true Franco-Japanese creation that is sure to delight all the visitors.
To support the promotion of this event, an exclusive illustration dedicated to this collaboration has been created jointly by Toei Animation and Grévin. The artwork will be featured across a complete range of merchandise available exclusively at the Grévin Museum gift shop.
To celebrate the launch of the exhibition on Friday, June 26, an exclusive ONE PIECE CARD GAME promotional card featuring this collaboration artwork will be offered to the first 50,000 visitors holding a valid Grévin Museum admission ticket.
