– The excitement is bubbling over as film screenings and events are starting to pop up all over Europe! –

Paris, France – August 12 2022 – The voice of One Piece has never been more powerful than today! 

The August 6th release of One Piece Film: Red in Japan was a massive success. In 2022 so far in Japan, it is the highest grossing movie in its first weekend of release making a total of 2,254,237,030 JPY, approximately 16 530 320 Euros, at the box office. In two days alone, admission was granted to a total of  1,579,552  movie-goers.

 

Time has come for One Piece, the longest running series in the history of Toei Animation, to reach a new milestone and win the hearts of European audiences. Toei Animation Europe and its partners have prepared events and premieres for the film which will include meet-and-greets for long-time fans and new-comers alike.

“This past weekend marked the official release of One Piece Film: Red in Japan. Simultaneously, the film also premiered in France with a dedicated screening at Le Grand Rex before its national release, on August 10th. Many more screenings and activities will take place across Europe in the upcoming months, including retail events, concerts, cinema screenings and much more. Beyond the phenomenon:
In July 2022, One Piece celebrated the 25th anniversary of its very first appearance as a manga in Shonen  Jump  in 1997. In July 2022 , the total number of sales worldwide exceeded 500 million copies! The global phenomenon is every bit as powerful as when the first One Piece episode aired in Japan in 1999, with faithful legions of fans and celebrity devotees in every corner of the word. With more than 1,000 episodes broadcasted in 80 countries, 13 feature films released, and the Guinness World Record awarded to manga creator Eiichiro Oda for the “most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author”, One Piece has established itself on the cultural landscape of an entire generation.

Synopsis:
Uta, the most beloved singer in the world whose voice has been described as “otherworldly”, is renowned for concealing her own identity. For the first time ever, Uta will reveal herself to the world at a live concert. The venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans—excited pirates, the Navy, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy, who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance. As her resounding voice fills the venue, the spectators and fans are stunned to find out that she is really Shanks’ daughter.
